Zmacsync Problem
« on: April 23, 2006, 05:35:53 pm »
Hi! I bought a sl-5500 a couple of weeks ago and since then I couldn't succesfully sync it. I am using OS X 10.4.6 and the sharp rom 3.1.

I'm trying to use ZMacSync. I followed the steps on the instalation guide and isntalled the usb kext on my Mac and the ZMacSync on my zaurus. After installing zmacsync_2.0.3_arm.ipk on my zaurus when i start ZMacSync on my mac it freeses with the zaurus icon crosed.

Any sugestions?

  Thanks

To detect whether the docking unit linked with Mac, please check that en1 interface under System Preferences turned green.

Next try pinging each other, the IP for Mac and Zaurus is 192.168.129.1 and 192.168.129.201.

If the pinging works well, then the MacSyn application is buggy.

Next, you can try to ssh into the Zaurus.

I have not tested myself, but there are hints that something might be different with MacOS 10.4.6 than before.
