well, if you switch GUI, then you'll have to switch ROM, as well

it's possible to run KDE on pdaXrom, but it sounded like it was kinda slow

pdaXrom can use matchbox, Fluxbox, IceWM (?), and XFCE4,,, i recomend the latter (there may be others, too... i'm not sure)

You do have options while you wait new ROMs. The default ROMs are pretty ugly, but you can change that.

See https://oesf.org/index.php?title=Zaurus_The..._Sharp_ROM_3.10 for more about Zaurus themes. Read the themes forum on here.

Finding icons for things is the biggest pain in the butt, but that applies to all ROMs, not just QTopia ones.

Attached are my first attempt at theming Cacko, which is a Qtopia based ROM. The icons I got from xfce4, which I use on my desktop PC, and the window buttons came from learning how to use the Gimp. I've still to do the scrollbars and find icons for the Qtopia tabs, and I'm sure I'll never be happy ...

thanks this will help a little better, I found this one, and really like it...alot. http://zaurus.spy.org/feeds/jedhead/index....ry050213-125454, maybe I can use some components from it...we shall see. Also that umicons theme is sweet as well, its for the 5500, maybe it'll work on the 3100. The pdaxrom looks really good too. Also whats this x/Qt install?
