SL-C760 problems
« on: January 28, 2004, 09:49:39 pm »
Hi guys,

I have a problem running GNU Chess on my zaurus SL-C760. The ipk package installs somewhere but it doesn\'t run.

Also I cannot synchronize the C760 with my PC running XP. While trying I didn\'t have the AC adapter plugged into the Z, so I thought that may be the reason.

Which AC adapter works with C760 in the US. I have a larger battery model BL08 in the Z and the Japaneese PS doesn\'t work.

Finally, I cannot get the voice recorder to work on my C760. Anyone had the same problem?

Any info would help. Thanks. -- ray, boulder, co

I sync\'ed my Zaurus for the first time with outlook without any mains power being active. Did you follow the correct installation procedure? Install the sync software, reboot, THEN connect the zaurus and install the drivers, then switch to USB Advanced TCP mode (I find it works better).

There is a howto located here, follow step 8 at the bottom: http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...us%20conversion

The C series doesn\'t have a built in microphone (as far as I\'m aware, none of them do). Have you plugged in a microphone that only sends audio to the left channel? When in voice recorder mode the left earphone connection of the earphone socket becomes the microphone input.

I suggest that you try with a small set of inner ear headphones and use the left as a microphone to test with, obviously because it\'s not a real microphone the quality may not be that good but it\'s a start.
