Cacko ROM haven't been realised for the 1k yet. Work, I understand, is progressing on it...

Other than the Sharp ROM, at the moment I think you are limited to OpenZaurus or pdaXrom. Both are decent if a little ropey now and then, although personally I prefer pdaXrom.

Give it time and there will be lots of great ROMs for the 1k...

The original Sharp rom has support for ext2 filesystems - I know cause I had some ext2 images mounted to test some applications.

How are you trying to mount things?

That's really odd cause ext2 is definetly not MINIX

Have you tried just mount without the -t ext2 flag?

For some reason that seems to work better for me, also it's possible that mount is dropping the -t flag and running the automount features cause that is what /etc/fstab says to do. In this case the MINIX error is not a problem casue the automounter tries a number of file systems till it gets one that mounts.

After running you mount command what does just "mount" show? It hopefully shows the /mnt/card being mounted.

Another thing, I think if you run mount as user zaurus rather than root or sudo then it disregards the -t flags and only uses the /etc/fstab settings - again the MINIX error would be normal

Hope this helps

Double check that the card is formatted FAT and not FAT32, sometimes i've had to format (full format not quick) my CF card 2 or 3 times before the NAND restore would recognise it.

Also if you remove you CF card from the slot and try to so a NAND restore it looks at the SD card (of course you would have to reformat it)

Good luck
