hello!
ive installed xfce on my rc11 c3100 now with some plugins (panel and menu etc) but i see the normal xfce panel but not the one seen on screenshots in this thread. i am also not able to access the menu and have no 2nd mouse function (fn + mouse-tap).
but else xfce looks really nice and is very smooth.
could someone please help me? where should i install the plugins in and which one are necessary?
thanks

i dont have any experience with 3100 (cuz i dont have one!) but on my 6000L i have rc11+xfce running just fine. i had some learning curve on getting the panel up on the rc10 and chero helped me out on it. basically:
1. install xfce if you install on SD then you will have to reinstall it on every boot, some link gets broken - so i install now on /
2. install the xfce panel menu plugin (link available in this thread) and other plugins as you need. all xfce stuff i install on / as otherwise i would get unpredictable behaviour.
for me the main trick was to install everything on /
also rc11 fixed some programs that didnt work on rc10 (like kdepim 2.1.17). all in all, xfce and rc11 works well. only thing is that the libstdcxx from the rc10 feed should be installed for most applications to work and install lesstif with -force-depends option as it has a dependency on xfree4.3 whereas rc11 has xfree 4.4
if you install applications from the net then please remember to change the feed that comes as default.
cheers
