Just got opera to work...
Here is what I did:
(remSite is my install destination on server via nfs, local mountpoint /mnt/simpad/remSite... you probably need to use destination card or something... you should know best yourself :-) )
cd /
find . -name .opera
find . -name opera
remove everything you find!
https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10612&st=30#--> Download opera_7.55.6079_arm.ipk
ipkg install -d remSite
http://familiar.handhelds.org/releases/v0...._0.5-r2_arm.ipkipkg-link add sharp-compat-libs
ipkg install -d remSite opera_7.55.6079_arm.ipk
ipkg-link add opera
rm /home/root/.opera
rm /home/root/.operasave
rm /usr/share/opera
ln -s /opt/QtPalmtop/opera/ /usr/share/opera
ln -s /opt/QtPalmtop/opera/ /usr/share/opera
ln -s /mnt/simpad/remSite/opt/QtPalmtop/opera/.opera /home/root/.opera
ln -s /mnt/simpad/remSite/opt/QtPalmtop/opera/.operasave /home/root/.operasave
makecompat /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/opera
...should...(could) work...
I'm sorry I have to deinstall Opera because of licensing issues

I *LIKE* OpenSimpad/Familiar...
Own my Simpad since Thursday and flashed it after maybe 5-6 hours to linux, tried different images.
Then, because i didnt get nfs to run(mounting samba doesnt even work now ), i switched back to Windows, just to realize its... unusable...
Now i got nfs to work (dont ask why it didnt work before, maybe different image) now i'm using
http://devernay.free.fr/hacks/opensimpad/2...32.rootfs.jffs2 and changed all feeds to folders in
http://devernay.free.fr/hacks/opensimpad/20050620/... works best for me...
Just 2 Things left at the moment:
-*working* mp3 support; opieplayer2 doesnt play most mp3 (but some *do* work); xmms just makes a buzzing sound that blows my ears(directly after it starts)
-rdesktop or vnc with 16bit-color-support
WLAN incl. WEP (it just works in contrary to §$&!!!!*'-Windows)
Mail (IMAP, SMTP)
mounted remote Filesystem ('unlimited' space)
Konqueror, Opera, vnc+rdesktop(8bit), opie-reader, opie-eye
It just works (ok.. nearly: crackling sound before suspend and such mini-problems..) and i like it!
Keep on doing the Good Work!
greets,
naxan
PS: /etc/init.d/quickexec has to be started for opera to work. (I have to start it manually because at booting time my nfs isnt connected.. and that's where quickexec actually resides)
