Calendar Time On Z Out Of Sync With Desktop
« on: September 09, 2005, 09:18:40 am »
I have recently got my usb connection working (thanks to tips from Lardman) and I have been syncing directly to my Z using notessync.
(We use notes instead of outlook at work so I have no urgent need to use Qtopie desktop at work)

I found that although the sync goes ok all the calendar entries are appearing 1 hour early in the Z.

I've check the date time settings and my Z and my laptop are set to about the same time.

This is bizarre! Is there a daylights saving setting on z thats affecting the times somehow?  Help please!!!

Possibly, what timezone are you in?

I actually seem to remember someone reporting this error a long while back - I don't remember whether there was a fix, etc. though a search may find the post.

I'll have another look in the posts just to be sure but its a strange one.

Problem solved! It seems only the basic timezone package is part of the hentges rom installation. You have to download and install your country specific timezone package (timezone-europe) in order for the calendar to take daylight savings into account.
