Tkcrom and irda working kernel?
« on: February 04, 2004, 05:16:19 pm »
I have a 860 running tkcrom with Javaboys kernel and the irda to phone with gprs will not work.  Anybody know how to get it working or point me to a kernel that will allow it to work.  Thanks.

It depends on which phone you have.

I have a SE t610 and I cannot get irda dialup to work for gprs or gsm. It works fine for sending/receiving ringtones/pics/java games etc.

This is on the c760, I can get it to work on my old 5500, using an early rom 2.31 AFAICR.

It works fine with bluetooth on the c760, which is much better than irda anyway, so I am not complaining.

If you have installed the qtmail-dummy ipk (the one that fools qtmail into letting you get mail over usb) then it does something wierd to the irda daemon so that normal irda don\'t work no more.

Uninstall this app and try irda again (if you have it installed - if not then ignore this message)
