1 - Well, I had to reflash, as I messed up my .xinitrc as a result of
trying to install and then revert from icewm.  Although icewm
worked really well, for now I prefer the matchbox panel and
openbox combination.

2 - It seems the "hwclock" binary is missing, which does not allow
the system time to be retained.  I remember using a fix in rc10
that was posted in this forum, where hwclock was called just
before a suspend.

3 - I found that (as in rc10) installing gcc-headers to sd can take
hours, if it even ever completes!  It installs OK to root, but
consumes precious space.

4 - The issue where a "long press" of the right joypad, would trigger
a suppend appears to be fixed!

5 - You can now press the menu button, and then press up twice to
get to the bottom of the launch menu, for easy access to suspend.  This
was not possible in rc10.

i reinstalled rc11 and still no luck what-so-ever with right-click.. i've tried holding it down, fn+tap, shift+tap, reconfig'ing input setup, etc..
i then reflashed rc10 and it works again..
very frustrating..very weird..

testing...
I just got everything installed (except the dev img)
better contrast on the background (maybe the smudge won't happen)
what works is smooth and fast.

quake runs in a postage stamp

gimp crashes if I try to open a file

frozen bubble doesn't load

I still suffer feed confusion---  where shall I go for nano?

I hate to complain about trivia... probably the quake thing is something I can fix?

I'll tweak things and install xfce and see what I get, and say more about it in a few days.

You could try Fn+Shift+Tap and also check your ~.xinitrc

just reinstall embedix-utils:
ipkg install embedix-utils

you'll find there a new binary sethwclock, which not use hwclock.

has anyone tried the kdepim 2.2.3 on rc11? on my Sl6000L, kapi complains that libmicrokabc-file.so, libmicrokabc-qtopia.so and libmicrokabc-sharpdtm.so are not found. consequently i get a 'no resource available' error message.

all these files exist in /usr/lib.

any help is appreciated.

cheers,

/bazmi.

C860, but some of these comments were in this thread already.

Frozen bubble doesn't work at all.

Supertux works, but when you try to start the real game, it crashes. (main menu works. Game crashes,)

No nano I can find.

It does look nice though!

I got nano from somewhere...  rc 8 or 9..unstable. It works.
I can live w/out frozen bubble. qbedic works!

BUT  how the !@#$%&!! do I make an sdl game run 320x240 or 240x320 full screen?  this is kinda important as my z needs to do some portable entertaining for me...at airports and while waiting in offices, etc.  I'm sure you all understand.  ( I feel a real need to get populus running on uae)

And what about ssl in dillo?

The usb keymap still isn't quite perfect (on the one beatup questionable keyboard I tried) but it is way better...might even be called useable.

xfce/xfe are really nice on the 6k btw.
and gaim is as good as my desktop
more later..and HELP WITH the SDL thing.  aieeeee.......

(this guarantees that it will turn out to be trivial stupidness on my part)

sorry for replying to my own mail but. borealid has provided the solution - these files have to be present in /opt/kdepimpi, so

Code: [Select]
ln -s /usr/lib/libmicrokabc* /opt/kdepimpi
now it should work!!
