What to backup for specific apps?
« on: February 05, 2004, 02:40:40 pm »
Hi there!

Is there any way to find out what I have to back up for a specific application? I mean, on a usual linux system I\'d just backup the home directory of my user, but I\'m not sure that\'s the right thing to do here...

Now, I don\'t want to keep the software installed into the ram and such stuff, it\'s just that I\'m using the calendar built into OZ and I use notez, and I don\'t want to loose the data.  I\'ve digged through the sources of notez and found the directory /root/Documents/text/plain, I think that\'s it, but how about the calendar?

I guess I could find out myself, but I\'m asking if somebody knows a somewhat generic way, a rule-of-thumb for this.... Thanks for any help

Cheers
Philipp
