2 Partitions In A Sd Card ?
« on: September 30, 2005, 11:42:23 pm »
hi,
i just want to know if it is possible to have 2 different partitions on a 1g sd card ?

I try with mine, i successfully build an ext2 partition of about 700mb but when i want to create an extended fat16 partition, fdisk refuse .. the partition could not be formatted ... maybe an sd is not supposed to have more than one partition ?

You can have more than 2 partitions.

I wonder if it's a limitation of the version of fdisk/mkfs. There was a thread around a while back discussing a new and improved version of fdisk (etc) for large cards.

Might be worth a look.
