Getting Past Twm
« on: October 09, 2005, 11:07:59 pm »
Hi all. I just installed pdaxrom on my sl6000. TWM starts as the window manager - how do I get past this and to the WM shown (not sure which one it is) in the screenshots? I did not see anyting in the FAQ.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

There are 2 working methods. one involves some commands which I completely forget..but are in the rc 10 threads.

the other is to :
flash to factory fresh sharp image, then
Flash to guylhem rom (which is nice too, btw), this gives a bigger root partition, then
flash to pdaxrom..and all will be well- or at least it has been for me. use at your own risk.

good luck!

Thanks - I had used the directions on the pdaxrom.org doumentation page. I guess tThe line about sizing root to 50mb is not appicable to the sl6000. Worked using the guylhem rom first, there is most likely an easier way, but this worked. Now to play!
