Hi

I seem to have some how killed my zaurus no charging no nothing. It was working. Then got busy for a while and came back to play and it was dead. Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this or a possible fix. My one friend sugested may have burnt out the charging system. If so is there any way to test for or fix this.

Please help.

If no one has any ideas does any one In south africa want one for spare parts (free may even pay for the postage  )

This is may be an obvious thing that you have already tried, but is it possible that the screen has just blanked? If so, just try pushing the hardware button with the lightbulb on it, just over the OK button.

What model is it?

What were you doing which might have burned out the charger?

Can you test the battery voltage, etc.?

Try holding Fn, D, M keys at once and pressing RESET. Zaurus should enter diags mode. If yes, report your voltages.

im having similar issues with my almost dead z sl5500 (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=15549) ... can get into diag mode, and can flash it, but it just doesnt boot.

voltages
without battery:
 - AIN1 (B/U): 369
 - AIN1 (main): 231
 - AIN0 : 1022

with battery:
 - AIN1 (B/U): 370
 - AIN1 (main): 426
 - AIN0 : 509

what do these mean?
