Samba On The Sl-6000
« on: November 05, 2005, 10:33:21 pm »
Hello All,

I am hoping someone has conquered this problem. I am trying to get Samba running on the SL-6000, and the smbd daemon just dies.

I am using the same smb.conf file that works well on my SL-5500, and everything seems to be the same as the SL-5500 (same config file, daemons are the same length in bytes, same version of kernel). I have run the daemon with -d 10 (to see debug) and there is no explaination as to why the daemon dies.

Both machines are running Sharp ROMs (the latest for each).

Anyone have this working on a SL-6000?

TIA,

Craig...

did it, but a while ago.
I seem to rememer that there was some additional samba stuff (like an smbmount ipk) in the feeds....
It can be done, though...if that is helpful
