OpenZaurus is a distribution and doesn't have backgrounds. I will assume you use GPE: Settings -> Look & Feel

under OPIE it is Settings/Launcher/Tab

Thanks worked like a charm. I'm thinking about customizing the startup screen too. I saw someone posted a Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy startup screen. Are there any sites with a selection of start up screens available for sl-cxxx models?
