How To Switch Off Text Entry Icon In Taskbar
« on: February 07, 2006, 02:13:23 pm »
Hello,

I use my Zaurus now for over half a year heavily and have never really used the alternative screen-based input methods (handwriting recognition, virtual keyboard).
Is there a way to make the icon for that, right besides the QT logo, disappear to save space on the taskbar? I cóuld really use that space, because I have many applets on the right and sometimes a lot of applicatoins open...

thanks
daniel

IIRC one way to remove them is to delete the corresponding files in /opt/QtPalmtop/plugins/inputmethods/

I don't know if these plugins are registered someplace else though -- which is likely and which is why there are probably more elegant & less brute solutions.
