Is It Another Kind Of Bricked 3100

I received my C3100 last week. I am currently using pdaxrom. Everything works fine, but...

Today, i use usb cable to transfer file from my laptop to hdd3 (i still use sharp partition). While i was transfering, something wrong happened. The screen changed to totally white (blank, with some small colour lines), no response from the keyboard, etc. So i have to reset it by pulling out the battery. But from that moment i cannot turn on my Z again

Now, i have to plug the adapter to turn on the Z. With the adapter, everything works normally. The charging led is on. I though the battery was died. But it is very weird: If i unplug the adapter, the Z hang and screen turns to white (like the problem i saw before when i transfered files). So i think battery is still ok unless the screen must be off (no power).

Does anyone know what happened and how to fix the problem?

Even when i am in service menu, i get the same problem (If i unplug the charger then screen turn to white). I tried to use NAND restore provided by trisoft but the problem still could not be fixed.

So am afraid the problem is in software/firmware part.

 I do not want to send it back to japan

This might be really stupid, but maybe if you unplug, remove battery reset, and let sit overnight?  Voodoo, I admit. but sometimes ......

You can also try putting in your 5500's freshly charged battery to see if that works.
 
I've seen a few other threads here and in the General Discussion forum where connecting via usb to a laptop resulted in somewhat similar problems.

Actually, i think the problem is even worse now. Yesterday, i could still manage to turn it on with the AC adapter. Then, I tried to flash trisoft NAND restore. After that i could not turn on even with adapter plugged in. No charging led also.

Can i ask a question:
The charging led is control by the kernel. So if i the light is not on, does it mean that Zaurus is not charging ? Or its battery is charged regardless of the charging led status ?

Hix, i am afraid that it is bricked.
I tried with 5500 battery and it didn't help. Now, after flashing with NAND restore:
+ No charging led
+ Cannot turn on (even with ac adapter)
+ Can not turn on to service menu (D+M)

Can anyone enlighten me before i send it back to japan?
BTW, is there anyone here sent back a zaurus to japan? Is there any experience to share?

maybe trisoft has a deal for restoring Z's that weren't bought through them?  might be fatser to go through them or streamline if the price is right.
