I know that second hand cars from Japan are exported to, for example, New Zealand and maybe some Asian countries. I wonder if the same will happen to the electronics. Maybe the stores won't be allowed to sell old electronics in Japan and an export market will flourish.

To the UK too    I am one of the many happy owners of a Eunos Roadster   ( equiv to a Mk1 Mazda MX5 / Miata depending where you are in the world)

Then again I also have a second hand SL5500   Both have been tweaked to run slightly differently to the original spec

So does this mean a whole bunch of old hardware being exported from Japan, or do they expect them to just be landfilled? The former would lower prices for a little while, the latter would be a crying shame in a country with so little room for waste disposal.
