Problem writing files bigger than 1Mb to my 256Mb Lexar SD
« on: February 19, 2004, 12:39:18 am »
Hi

I\'ve just got my Zaurus 5600 and set it up with the latest TKc  (2 alpha 4), and the pre-emptive kernel ... All it all works wonderfully with my CF card, but now with my new 256Mb Lexar SD I don\'t seem to be able to write a single file that is bigger than 1Mb, I can still install apps to the SD and stuff, but as soon as I try and write a big file to it comes up with an error and truncates the file to about a meg.

It is really strange as the SD works really well appart from this.

Anyone seen this before ?

I did a search but didn\'t find anything :-(

Cheers
JohnM

Sorry ... I have just flashed back to the standard Sharp ROM and things are now working OK.

Cheers

I had the same problem and just got back to original kernel. I couldn\'t copy
through samba, either.
Well... there\'s no good solution yet. I ran into variout problems with various
version of rom/kernels. It would be really great if I can get a new rom/kernel
which has features below.

- kismet for socket/symbol
- qinstall works even though CF card is not inserted
- writing big file to sd card with no problem
- preemptive patch
