I've released v1.1 of the Japanese reference & study aid, "JARDS Mobile".

New features:
# Help browser and tutorial
# Per-list and per-item quiz settings
# Configurable Leitner box intervals
# Quiz mode scratch-pad

If you want to read the tutorial online or download the program, go to the homepage.

Thank you for the program.

I am a beginning student of Japanese (self-study).  I will try your software but it looks very promising.  I understand that this program is mostly designed to memorize kanji.  At this point, I try not to get bogged down with kanji too much.  I want to get some success to motivate myself to study further.

I've just downloaded and tried this program. It's great, and it looks like it'll come in handy in the future.

I've used the program for some days now. Quite good, it could be what all the other japanese programs never became. What I'm missing most is some way to manage study lists (sorted by importance):

- Import lists
- Sort and remove duplicates
- Make a new list of all the kanji in a list (or add them to the current list)
- Move items to another list
- Remove items that are already in another list

The only real problem is the missing import, that would be really nice to have (and perhaps export, but then you lose all the quiz information...).

Other things I noticed:

- There seems to be no way to input a small 'tsu' with the built-in input method.
- The scratchpad has a limited number of strokes, not enough for complex words.
- The kanji input shows just four candidates.

Some of the GUI seemed a bit quirky at times, but I guess that's just a matter of getting used to it.

All in all, great work.
