Gngeo 0.6.11 For Zaurus Sharprom
« on: April 25, 2006, 10:04:34 am »
Hello.

I have compiled and tested in gngeo 0.6.11 in Sharp ROM.

Sorry for no ipkg file. I can't create ipk file some error "tar --exclude option".

anyway.

$ su
# cd /
# gzip -d /mnt/cf/gngeo_0_6_11.tar.gz
# tar xvf /mnt/cf/gngeo_0_6_11.tar

gngeo ROM_file

if you wan to know more about gngeo, refer to http://m.peponas.free.fr/gngeo/

amd chage rompath  in /home/zaurus/.gngeorc for your ROM.

required library : libpng12, libSDL_image, libSDL.
required file : Neogeo BIOS files

I tested neobombe.zip .

There are some problem. In qconsole(embedded consoe), if you run gngeo ,you reselect qconsole icon in taskbar.

I don't know the solution of the problem.

Enjoy.

my compile option:

LDFLAGS="-L/opt/Qtopia/sharp/lib -Wl,-rpath,/opt/Qtopia/sharp/lib" ./configure --build=i386 --host=arm-linux --target=arm-linux --disable-i386asm --enable-cyclone --enable-drz80

I made ipk package and recompile it for 7x0/860.

I used cacko gcc for compile, so that didn't work at 7x0/860 maybe.

Here are gngeo for 7x0/860.

enjoy.

Great news! Thanks a lot tom!

I tried it out tonight under cacko on a c3000 with the SDL from the cacko feed. It did work, sound too, but I had to scale the screen to 2x to get it orientated correctly and full screen and even with autoframeskip it was jerky. I shouldn't need to overclock the Z as my mates GP2X can get full speed on gngeo at 250Mhz. It all just reminded me how much I can't wait for overlay support under OZ or a new C3000 pdaXrom so I can get 320x240 SDL in a console (you can, right?).

Not to cricitise toms port or the excellent emulator, just the eternal 'almost there' status of the C3000 distros. It'll be sorted soon enough though I feel.
