C700 Battery Options
« on: May 02, 2006, 09:45:53 am »
I recently acquired a C700 unit with a Symbol wifi card...
My c700 came with two 950mAh batteries, which are really not too good..

I have searched a lot but I've read different info in different places..

So here is my question:

What kind of battery can I put in my c700, and will it require me to buy another battery cover? If it will, where is a good place to get such kind of parts ?

Thank you, I really need to get this beast running a bit longer...

Thanks

The 2 I know of is the
Sharp EA-BL09 battery (Standard with Cxxx Series)
Sharp EA-BL11 battery (Cxxxx Series)

The BL11 will give you a longer battery life but you will need the Extender Cover...

www.conics.net offers these with the Cover is needed... not vouching or promoting just the only one I know of that sells the batteries and cover.

If you want, I will be happy to offer you a large battery (1700 mah IIRC) + the "large battery cover" as displayed on http://www.conics.net/catalog/product_info...&products_id=61

So many people have helped me with hardware that I think I should at least do the same.

In exchange, I would appreciate if you could pay for the shipping costs. If you can't, let me know.

To use the large battery and its door, all you will have to do is to cut a small plastic tab with a cutter to use it. It's very easy to do.

You will still be able to fit your existing small batteries with the large battery cover.

Please follow up by a PM with your personnal address if you are interested in the donation, and do not forget to thanks gr8ful whom I got it from.

Happy to help,
Guylhem

I have tried the battery generously given to me...

My first test was SSH with full backlight over a Symbol wifi card..

Lasted 2:20h before warning me the battery was low ! Awesome!!

Thanks a lot ! I will be sending you my original cover soon !

Hello,

You're welcome ! I am glad I was helpful to you.

If you can part with a 950 mAh that'd be good too - if you can't never mind.
