Hi Guys,

I got an AV700 yesterday and even though I am delighted with the product I would be greatful for your advice on the below questions to make it even better.

1 - I recorded direct from my DVD Bad Boys 2 last night, it came out in two AVI files because it is over 2 hours long, is there any way I can record films and not have them broken into two files because of the duration of the movie ?

2 - The movie itself was 2hrs 30mins approx, and took up 3GB of space, at this rate I will only get 12 movies onto the 40GB version, is there any way of reducing the file sizes ?

3 - There is only one site on the PLAYSFORSURE site where you can purchase movie downloads - CinemaNow - and that has not got a great selection, is there any other sites where movies can be bought and downloaded that is compatible with the AV700 ?

Thanks for all your help in advance guys.

Hi ajs1975,

1 & 2.

The recorded file is separated not because of the video's duration, it's due to the converted file size of 2 GB. This 2 GB file size constraint is due to the Windows® FAT32 AVI file type specification.

You can reduce the file size by setting lower parameters for RESOLUTION and BITRATE under SETUP in the pre-recording screen. Doing this will lower the quality of the output video, do try out different setting for your needs.

cheers!
