/dev/gpmctl

Hi,

I've installed the gpm and gpm-dev packages but I don't seem to have /dev/gpmctl. Is this a bug? I'm running 3.5.4.1-RC4 on a C860.

If it is a bug would the correct place to file it be the OpenEmbedded bugtracker?

Many Thanks!

Yes, the oe bugtracker would be the right place.

Before you do that:

Check that the module has been insmod'ed, then check to see whether the device has been created.

Check and see whether the postinst script was supposed to create that device (though I think udev probably ought to when the module is insmod'ed).

Check that this ipk was built for the 2.6.x kernels.
