/etc/pcmcia/config Gone?
« on: September 01, 2006, 11:39:52 am »
A few months ago I sold my C860 and bought a Dell Axim.  I came to realize I was on crack that whole time and have just purchased a C3200.

I have a Hawking CF Wired Ethernet card that I had working on my C860.  I had to edit the /etc/pcmcia/config file and add three lines with the manfid and driver and so on.  Now, I'm trying to get this same card working with my C3200 and I can't find the file to edit.  I tried creating the file but I still couldn't get my internet to come up.

the pccardctl ident comes up as:
Socket 1:
product info: "Fast Ethernet", "CF Size PC Card", "1.0", ""
   manfid: 0x0149, 0xc1ab
   function: 6 (network)

I used to put the following in the /etc/pcmcia/config file:
card "Fast Ethernet"
manfid 0x0149, 0xc1ab
bind "pcnet_cs"

Where do I put that now?

edit: I'm running beta4

Well, the file is there in beta3 so that's what I'll be running for now.
