Prboom Won't Go Fullscreen...
« on: July 21, 2006, 04:31:25 am »
man, haven't played doom for so long...almost forgot how good it is......

anyway, i have pdaxrom beta3 + xfce4, i ve been play it in th window mode at 320x240 as 640x480 is pretty much unplayable...i searched over the forum and pretty much found two ways to play prboom on fullscreen at 320x340...but none worked....

first, i tried
Code: [Select]
xrandr -s 320x240&&prboom&&xrandr -s 640x480 nothing happens...

then i tried edit the prboom.cfg, change the x/y to 320x240, then exit X, type
Code: [Select]
export SDL_NOMOUSE=1 then start prboom.....but again, it tells me that there s no video large enough for 320x240...so i guess the version of prboom i have only works under x?...doesn't make any sense tho....

><...anyone have any idea what should i do?

thanx

try just running xrandr to see what modes it supports; you should see something like:

Code: [Select]
SZ:    Pixels          Physical       Refresh
*0    640 x 480    ( 217mm x 163mm )
  1    320 x 240    ( 217mm x 163mm )
in which case you can do

Code: [Select]
xrandr -s 1to switch to 320x240.
SL-C3100 with usb power mod running debian eabi
pdaXii13 still on the NAND for dualbooting
16GB SDHC! (a new one, after I sat on the old one and it went kaput)
D-Link 660 wifi, Socket Bluetooth rev H
External 9800mAh LiIon battery and slimline dvd drive
Homebrew microphone and remote

Oops, didn't realise you were trying to run it outside of X - xrandr is X only.
