C1000: Stripes On Display
« on: September 25, 2006, 01:16:35 am »
I have a SL-C1000 since 3 days. First anything looks right, but yesterday. First there were some vertical blue lines on the terminal (QKonsole) - not the whole display, only the black inside the window.

Well, maybe the display driver, frame buffer... something like this. So I rebooted the Zaurus and anything looks right again. But after one minute the lines were back. - The next reboot.

But now there were some blue horizontal lines on the bootscreen an then big blue vertical stripes over the whole display. The screen has an ugly blue flickering evertime now and the images lost some colors (don't know how to describe it better).

Replace akku, reset, reflash - nothing.

Anybody here have/had the same problem?

Regards,
Frank

Recently found the same with my C3000, after one year of flawless fun.

At first appeared like an intermittent contact with the display.
Also, when I run ZColorAdjust, the reds are totally wrong. Green and blue are correct.
Tried about the same steps as you did, to no avail.
Gonna dig up intermediate backup images to see if it is not resulting from some install.
I'll let you know if something turns up.

Cheers.
