Meanie,

I use your page once or twice a week as a reference. i would gladly paypal a few sheckels. However, your page states that donations go to Anton M. I have donated to Anton before when I was regularly using Cacko. However, it seems that Anton has abandoned Cacko and the other few apps from his site. The site is unreliable versus yours which always seems to be up. If you are independently weathly or have taken a vow of poverty, OK. I think you deserve some payment for the hours I am sure it takes to maintain your site as well pdaXii13 and the other apps in your feed. Not being critical, but I would suggest that you let folks show their appreciate to you for what you are doing. If you don't need the money, donate it to your favorite charity. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

Hi Meanie,

I got this problem after flashing my 3100 to 5.2 alpha. Here is the error message when it boots:
Code: [Select]
Sharp SL series flash device: 1000000 at 0

Using static partition definition
0x00140000-0x007f0000: "Filesystem"
No NAND device found!!!
....
....
VFS: Cannot open root device "mtdblock2" or 1f:02
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel parnic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 1f:02

I tried to download/reflash few times but it still cannot be fixed.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Meanie!

If it is now possible to install pdaXii13 on the 3100 and 3200 could you please update your site with instructions for owners of these machines or could somebody tell me where they are please! It seems that if it is possible the instructions have been spread over several threads some of which got lost in the update of the tyrannozaurus site.

My problem is that, using the c3100 kernel in b3, pdaXii13 5.2 often starts X in QVGA mode and the res switch key combo doesn't do anything. Is there a different (Tetsu?) c3100 kernel I should be using instead, with some kernel modules which might get my wifi working?

I installed pdaXrom beta 3 OK but I had the same problem under b3 as I do under pdaxii13 on my c3100 with switching between VGA + QVGA using the key combo under X. Whilst running b3 I discovered that my wifi card ( a PLANEX GW-CF11X - is it irony that it ends in 11X yet only works under cacko?  )doesn't work under pdaXrom b3 or pdaXii13

As if that wasn't enough questions and bugs, on the c3000 (again this is 5.2) gpe-calendar stopped working this morning and now freezes after you've entered an event. I've tried deleting the calendar files in ~/.gpe and although that made gpe-cal start up again it still crashes after making a new event. Of course, it was working fine last night. I also deleted a file called ~/.gpe-rendevous or something when I couldn't get gpe-calendar to start but it was empty anyway so I dunno if that makes a difference. Anybody else been playing with the calendar?

Meanie

This thread

https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...544&hl=gw-cf11x

Links to a couple of files which should get my wi-fi card working. Could you please include these drivers in the next release please.

I've just remembered I can use

xrandr -s 0     (for 640x480) or

xrandr -s 1     (for 320x240)

So I have something a bit more useable on my c3100 now but I just discovered I don't have an internal storage option under the USB settings tool and that hda1 (ext3 /) is mounted twice. hda2 is swap and hda3 is vfat.

After I'd installed beta 3 I did this:

Tried just Installing the pdaXii13 hdimage but not installing any kernel or bootloader. After reboot it booted into pdaXrom b3 like I'd done nothing.

Tried installing the pdaXii13 c3000 kernel - root fs error on boot

Installed b3 kernel by renaming it to correct name for pdaXii13 updater.sh (0.23) to find it and that takes me back to where I am now with a half-working install just like I had before I'd installed beta 3 in that pdaXii13 now boots but with the

Unknown flash (not normal NAND)

Error (x4) I mentioned before.

Meanie, you say this is because it is a Cacko kernel but there is surely no trace of Cacko on my Z now and as I say I get that error by using the c3100 kernel from pdaXrom b3.

Note that when I installed beta 3 I still had my MD partitioned 3 ways from my experimental pdaXii13 install but that didn't seem to cause any problem. Should I have my MD partitioned like a factory drive before I install b3 or does it make no difference?

Maybe what I've got is as good as it 5.2 gets for c3100?

EDIT

'nother coupla things not working with my current 5.2/c3100 setup is holding down FN and tapping for right-click and the CPU config tool. Two things I found to be working now are external USB disks and bvdd video.
