I currently have pdaxii13 5.4.5 (base, not full) on my C1000 and was wondering what exactly I would need in order to upgrade to the current release (5.4.9)?

read meanie's upgrade instructions? You will have to flash your kernel one way or another if the upgrade system doesn't handle it. See the docs at tyrannozaurus?
