Portabase 1.9-2
Homepage: http://portabase.sourceforge.net/
This old but reliable database application has lived its way from the original Sharp ROM to pdaXrom and now to Debian/Z!

Requires libmetakit attached below, which is not found in the Debian armel repos:

libmetakit 2.4.9.3-4
You need this special version of libmetakit to run Portabase.

NoteCase 1.6.9-1
Homepage: http://notecase.sourceforge.net/
A real rising star of outliner for *nix using GTK!  It's constantly under active development.

TuxCards 1.2-1
Homepage: http://www.tuxcards.de/
A comparable outliner to NoteCase in QT. Old but still very useful.

glHack 1.2-1
Homepage: http://glhack.sourceforge.net/
NetHack is a single player dungeon exploration game that runs on a wide variety of computer systems, with a variety of graphical and text interfaces all using the same game engine. Unlike many other Dungeons & Dragons-inspired games, the emphasis in NetHack is on discovering the detail of the dungeon and not simply killing everything in sight - in fact, killing everything in sight is a good way to die quickly. Each game presents a different landscape - the random number generator provides an essentially unlimited number of variations of the dungeon and its denizens to be discovered by the player in one of a number of characters: you can pick your race, your role, and your gender.
This is the SDL graphical version of Nethack 3.4.3.

(Tip: You change change the tile view by editing the value of "tileheight" in ~/.glhackrc. The allowed options are: 16 (the good old small tiles), 32 (nice-looking big tiles) and 64 (fancy isometric 3D tiles.)

Sangband 1.0.0-1 (Final Release)
Homepage: http://www.runegold.org/sangband/
A truly interesting and sophisticated variant of Angband (or "the *bands"). This SDL version features full graphical tiles (8x8, 16x16 and 32x32), sound effects and even background music!  My favourite *band (besides Xangband).
To quote from the official page: "There are many ways to die. There are as many ways to win. The choices you make among skills, the plunder from vaults and fallen foes, the objects you forge, your growing tactical prowess - all will shape your adventure. Will you take the Oath of Iron to learn the most powerful warrior arts? Will you stand staunch for the Light - or choose the way of blood and necromancy? A Shadow Paladin, a Mage Engineer, a Loresmith, a Skirmisher - all can topple the Dark Lord from his dark throne."

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

(Tip: Turn on grahical (not the default ASCII) mode and sound and music by pressing "=", then "!" (User Interface))

Quasar Media Player 0.9b3-1

Website: http://katastrophos.net/andre/blog/softwar...r-media-player/

Description quoting from the program website:
"Quasar Media Player is ... a decent, fast and convenient media player for the Zaurus and other Qt(opia)-based (mobile) systems.
It offers many of the features we’ve come to appreciate in modern media players on the desktop, like fast library overview and filtering along with the ability to handle large libraries very well.
It adds several unique features that give it unprecedented flexibility on a mobile device, like auto-generated playlists from a set of locations (e.g. adds files from the internal Music directory + from a Media directory on an inserted SD card), a fast location-independent database backend based on SQLite and flexible support and handling of cover art images.
Quasar is highly configurable and can be operated completely via the keyboard or remote control, which makes it more versatile and easier to control than via touchscreen alone."

Enjoy!  (Thanks, eviLjazz!!)

Zangband 2.7.5pre1-2

subversion-1.4.4dfsg1-1
-- Advanced version control system
Subversion, also known as svn, is a version control system much like the Concurrent Versions System (CVS). Version control systems allow many individuals (who may be distributed geographically) to collaborate on a set of files (typically source code). Subversion has all the major features of CVS, plus certain new features that CVS users often wish they had.
This package includes the Subversion client (svn), tools to create a Subversion repository (svnadmin) and to make a repository available over a network (svnserve).
-- Homepage: http://subversion.tigris.org
-- Requires libsvn1 which is attached right below.

libsvn1-1.4.4dfsg1-1

-- Required & shared libraries used by Subversion
This package includes shared libraries to manipulate Subversion (svn) repositories and working copies. See the 'subversion' package for more information.

-- Subversion server modules for Apache
This package provides the mod_dav_svn and mod_authz_svn modules for the Apache 2.2 web server. These modules provide Subversion's WebDAV server backend, to serve repositories over the http and https protocols. See the 'subversion' package for more information.

uqm_0.6.2.dfsg-5
-- The Ur-Quan Masters - An inter-galatic adventure game
You return to Earth with a vessel built from technology discovered from an ancient race called the Precursors only to find it enslaved. Gather allies from a wide variety of races, engage in space combat with various foes, and save the galaxy from the Ur-Quan!
The Ur-Quan Masters is derived from the classic game Star Control II. It includes both the adventure game described above and a fast-paced Super Melee.
-- Homepage: http://sc2.sourceforge.net/
-- Screenshots: http://sc2.sourceforge.net/screenshots.php
-- Requires uqm-content (attached below) in order to play.

(The Debian repos do not have the speech package. I am going to repackage it from the RPM package and upload it here soon. It's real fun to listen to the quirky aliens talking!)

-- A exciting Brick Breaker with 50 levels of game and 11 special levels, distributed on the 2 modes of game to give the player a sophisticated system of attack weapons with an enormous power of fire that can be build by gaining bonuses. Numerous decors, musics and sounds complete this great game. This game was ported from the Commodore Amiga.

From the Debian package page: http://packages.debian.org/sid/vlc
VLC is the VideoLAN project's media player. It plays MPEG, MPEG2, MPEG4, DivX, MOV, WMV, QuickTime, mp3, Ogg/Vorbis files, DVDs, VCDs, and multimedia streams from various network sources.
VLC can also be used as a streaming server that duplicates the stream it reads and multicasts them through the network to other clients, or serves them through HTTP.
VLC has support for on-the-fly transcoding of audio and video formats, either for broadcasting purposes or for movie format transformations. Support for most output methods is provided by this package, but features can be added by installing additional audio plugins (vlc-plugin-esd, vlc-plugin-sdl, vlc-plugin-arts) or video plugins (vlc-plugin-sdl, vlc-plugin-ggi, vlc-plugin-glide, vlc-plugin-svgalib). There is also a web browser plugin in the mozilla-plugin-vlc package.

This package seems to be uninstallable in the official feeds, so try these if that is the case.

smplayer_0.5.62-1
Homepage: http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/
SMPlayer intends to be a complete front-end for MPlayer, from basic features like playing videos, DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features like support for MPlayer filters and more.
One of the most interesting features of SMPlayer: it remembers the settings of all files you play. So you start to watch a movie but you have to leave... don't worry, when you open that movie again it will resume at the same point you left it, and with the same settings: audio track, subtitles, volume...

A little bit patched mc. It doesn't catch altgr modifier, therefore we can use keymap bindings like altgr+up (pgup), altgr+left (home) and so on.
