hello,

/path = android-root

from linux shell

1.- (backup image) cp /path/data/misc/wallpaper /path/data/misc/wallpaper2
2.- (copy new image) cp your-image.jpg|.gif /path/data/misc/wallpaper
3.- start android

note: no extension added to wallpaper file

maybe there's another way

thanks for that; I guess part of the problem is that android rotates the screen background so that it'll look awful in one orientation?

Hey I just found that when on the "home" screen once the gui is loaded, hit the menu key.  It brings up a drop down menu for the background.
What's this button do??
