Any Comments Yet On The Asus Eee-pc?

Has anyone seen the new ASUS EEE-PC yet?

It's a light laptop using a 16 gig flash instead of a spinning disk hard drive and it comes with Linux installed. CPU is supposedly a Pentium M.

This is an outgrowth of Intel's design response to the One Laptop Per Child project because OLPC has designed their system around an ADM chip. Interestingly, the OLPC XO will come on the market in November with a Give One, Get One program.

I find the EEE interesting. If it comes out around the price expected and the specs haven't shrunk anymore, I'll likely pick one up to replace my Fujitsu P1120.

Binary compatibility with x86 is nice, particularly coupled with a slim footprint distro.

I'm a little disappointed in the 800x480 screen (pending that is going to be the released resolution) without touchscreen (since I'll be moving from 1024x600 touchscreen).
