Problems with newly purchased SDCard
« on: March 16, 2004, 10:36:17 am »
It crashes frequently with my Sl-5600 PXA250 ROM 1.32.
Only some luck transfering small files (<1mb) across using Zaurus File Transfer program.

It is a KINGMAX 128MB Secure Digital Card.

I have no such problems previously with a 8mb Panasonic SD card but can\'t even get my zaurus to read my 32mb Hexon NCP MMC before.

Can someone please help me!

The error message I get is \"Please review with the error check function on your zaurus.\"

It may not be the card, but this type of problem usually is.

I had frequent drop outs transferring files to from the zaurus using the transfer utility using both serial and very rarely usb.

If you are using usb, try a different usb socket, also try and plug it directly into the PC and not via a hub (if that is how it is connected).

You could also try copying the files to internal flash and moving them to the sd card later.

If you have the card reader option in the rom (cxx0 device, or backported driver) then try that as well.

zbones or any one out there.

Can I get a SD card reader to transfer card to my SD card and use it in my Sl-5600?
I am using Win XP pro. Does the zaurus require the SD card to be in a certain format to recognize the card?

And thanks for replying, Peter.
