Sharp Camera Software
« on: July 11, 2008, 08:58:36 pm »
Can anyone email me the Sharp Camera software necessary to get the Sharp CE-AG06 Camera working with an sl-c1000 clamshell zaurus running cacko please.
http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-Zaurus-CE-AG06...4231&sr=8-5
Extensive googling hasn't turned up a working download for it so far.
Many thanks

Please someone, correct me, but as far as I know, the drivers are not compiled for the 1000's kernel (2.4.20). It is compiled for the 5500, 5600, and 6000, which all use the 2.4.18 kernel. I have tried using the 6000 ipk, without success. The software installs, but when you try to run it, it says to insert the card first. The card is already inserted, but apparently the modules don't load.

If you want to try it, here it is:
SL-6000L running Sharp 1.12 rom, (SOLD)
Fujitsu U820 with Windows 7
White Intel MacBook

I used to have one of those. I wrote an application using the source from opie-camera as an example.
It worked on an SL-5500 and SL-C700. The quality from the camera was terrible!

Indeed. It was _really_ awful, but then again... some folks can do art with fewer pixels

It's quality is awful. However it's bearable at QVGA. The design of camera is flawed from several points of view. The thing I'm trying to fight currently is interference with luminiscent lamps.
