Wanted: Ce-rh1 Remote For My C750
« on: October 20, 2008, 12:45:30 am »
with a new battery, I am using my five-years old C750 more as a mp3 player. Now I need a remote. :-) Anyone?

all the Sharp remotes are *similar* in the way they work, basically being a resistor network, but Sharp changed the resistor values from the 860 to the 1000 series,  and may have done so before, but the good news is that if you search the forum you should be able to get the wiring diagram and thus be able to either make your own or modify a remote from a different generation.

if memory serves correct one of the creative labs or similar could also work

if you want to get really exotic, a USB keypad, and IRDA or even a bluetooth keyboard could probably be made to work.

Thanks. I actually already searched and ordered a remote for creative-labs zen player on ebay. Do you or anyone else by any chance remember the size of the SMT resistors? From what I saw in one of pictures, they look like 1210. or I will check when I receive the remote.

'fraid not, can't help you with that. do take some pictures of the modified remote for us, as I too have been considering this.
