Which feed gives me no unresolved symbols?
« on: March 21, 2004, 04:44:58 am »
Hi guys !
I use Openzaurus 3.3.5 on my C700, which finally works again after i
broke it, amd like it pretty much. I installed a bunch of Packages from
www.openzaurus.org/official/stable/feed
www.openzaurus.org/official/testing/3.3.5/C700/ipks
www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.3.5/C700/ipks

now, many of those programs won\'t run, and when i start them from a
console, i get complaints about unresolved symbols, mostly :
kpacman: relocation error: kpacman: undefined symbol:
_7QString.shared_null
opie-sh: relocation error: opie-sh: undefined symbol:
_7QString.shared_null

So, as far as i understadn it, this means the packages was linked
against anoter version of Qt, does this mean, install oter libs, or use
another feed, or what ?

Regards,
Tobias

This means you need to use the compat libs.
C750 OZ3.5.4 (GPE, 2.6.x kernel)
SL5500 OZ3.5.4 (Opie)
Nokia 770
Serial GPS, WCF-12, Socket Ethernet & BT, Ratoc USB
WinXP, Mandriva

I installed them from http://zarus.spy.org/feed/oz/compat , but all i got is the same error, and a symbol in the settings tab, that does just the same as other programs complaining about undefined symbols: i ckick on it, an icon appears in the tarkbar, it dissaperars again, nothin happens.

This one seems to be the guilty one. I installed opie-sh and a bunch of other packages from  http://openzaurus.org/official/3.3.5/corgi/ipks/ , and now the compat setup programm works.
