I feel like I\'ve soiled my ROM installation. I installed OZ 3.2 back in May and since then, I\'ve played around, adding and removing ipks from feeds left and right, half of which never seem to run when I click their icon (ex. Mail-It, Opie-MediaPlayer, XMMS, finally got Kpacman).
So, I\'ve decided it\'s time for a clean install. I still have OZ 3.2 on my CF card and I\'m pretty familiar with that process. Should I stick with that ROM or venture out?
I did not like Sharp 2.38 much at all. I want to be able to sync and use SCP to copy files to my Z over my wireless network. I also want to be able to install ipks easily using feeds through the package manager (is this the easiest way?). I also want to be able to install apps easily on my SD card (is this the same as /home on SD or do all ROMs have this functionality?). I also want to be able to show small icons in my launcher and be able to make the best out of the small screen with small fonts.
Based on all of that, which ROM should I use? I have not tried any other ROMs except Sharp 2.38 and OZ 3.2. From what I understand, these are my best options:
1. Sharp 3.10
2. theKompany ROM
3. Cacko\'s ROM (would I have to reformat my SD?)
4. OpenZaurus 3.2
5. OpenZaurus 3.3.1 (unstable)
If there are others that I don\'t know about that include the features I\'d like, please list them (links with pretty pictures and easy installation instructions are good, too).
Also, I would like to erase my entire SD card when I do this clean update. Without a PC-based SD card reader, is there an easy way to do this on my Z (is it as easy as rm -a /mnt/card/*)?
