AIRcable and pdaXrom?
« on: April 07, 2004, 04:04:42 pm »
Anyone managed to get the AIRcable dialling with the pdaXrom PPP utlities? About as far as I can get is having the bluetooth connection come up, the phone either just immediately disconnects or sits there doing nothing.

I\'ve been pouring over the previous posts about setting it up as IR then changing the device name etc, completely to no avail. Anyone tried this before and got it working?

A bit off topic here, but the AirCable will not work on the Zaurus 6000, not if you want to open the keyboard up anyway.  When in place it prevents the keyboard cover from openning.

Hello,

About as far as I can get is having the bluetooth connection come up, the phone either just immediately disconnects or sits there doing nothing.

It is the same problem here, using Kathrin RC9 (posted to the AIRcable support forum also):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I own a Zaurus SL-C760 and recently bought the AIRcable serial module for it. After a bit of testing i managed to pair the AIRcable with my Nokia 6820 cell phone. If I ask the PPP connection manager to dial (GPRS, GSM), the blue LED switches on and the Nokia tells me that it is connected to the AIRcable, but it won´t dial or even answer to any AT command. After a while the connection script fails and that´s it.

This is my ppp peer setup, taken from the Trisoft website:

/dev/ttyS0
noipdefault
115200
connect '/usr/sbin/chat -s -v -t 60 ABORT "NO CARRIER" ABORT "NO DIALTONE" ABORT "BUSY" "" "AT+cgdcont=1,\\"IP\\",\\"web.vodafone.de\\"" OK "ATDT*99#" CONNECT "\\d\\d"'
crtscts
lock
modem
user "zaurus"
defaultroute
mtu 576
mru 576
connect-delay 1000
remotename IRDA1062007291

Using IrDA the connection works fine.

I would be very happy if someone could give me a hint.
