Link seems dead for me:

An error occured while loading http://maredo.dyndns.org/~fiore/pdaxrom:

Unknown host andrea.local

I\'m using Konqueror on Debian.
Can you not upload it somewhere? ZUG? pdaXrom\'s feed?
Left Linux and Linux PDAs... sorry, got boring.  Switched to Mac.

Just trying this out - it looks gorgeous, and everything I\'ve tried so far seems to work, except for two issues..

Tthe Fn key doesn\'t seem to have any effect; if I press Fn H for a :, I get h.
I\'m also noticing a rather annoying sticky caps problem.. sometimes its like caps gets stuck on, and I have to hold shift to type in lowercase - is this a feature I\'m accidentally enabling somehow?

Apart from that, it is terrific

I think that\'s a keymap problem, as Fn seems to be mapped to ALT, and the Tab key acts both as tab and as caps lock!

Anyway I\'m looking into this.

Another thing: how do you prefer to have the panel icons arranged? I\'ve left that in this version, just did the config one, but I\'d like suggestions on this.

ah yes, you\'re right. I alt-tabbed once and caps lock has been turned off. Doing it again turns it back on

I haven\'t done much with the panel yet. Seems fine the way it is to me. I haven\'t yet figured out how to remove existing entries from the launcher. Do I need the utility that lets me right-click on them in order to gain access to more options?

got it - works a charm  So just the Fn key binding to fix now - is this a new problem in 1.0.5? Surely all the users didn\'t overlook it in 1.0.0?

put this at the end of  /usr/local/etc/xfce4/xinitrc

xmodmap /etc/X11/kb/corgi.xmodmap

and all keys will work

I\'m also uploading the fixed ipk

Almost. I had to add it right under the xmonobut& line, since the panel appears to block and it never got to the end of xinitrc - but yeah, it works perfectly

Thanks for these quick fixes!

if you change the xmonobut line to be \"xmonobut -k 37&\" then you can toggle the right click by pressing the menu button.

Also. Rotation is no longer automatic when using xfce, i\'ll see if i can\'t fix that.

aah, cheers for -k 37 tip, thats much more convenient

Reminds me of something I did want to ask, do we have PgUp or PgDn? My efforts to get xterm to present me with a scrollbar seem fruitless - it\'s ignoring a commandline option of +sb as far as I can see, and without PgUp I have no way to scroll up

um, use aterm. its scrollbar works.

if you ssh into the Zaurus while its running XFCE. you can get it detect the rotation by doing
export DISPLAY=:0.0
then if you put the PDA in portrait mode, and run the command, chkhinge, it will detect the state of the screen and rotate it acccordingly
but sash hasnt\' told me how he is getting it to auto run that in matchbox. but i\'ll keep hacking at it. Also, I have a build of Fluxbox working, but you can\'t access the menu in it, because Tap and hold for a right click doesn\'t work anymore. and xmonobut won\'t work in Flux. but i\'ll keep working on these things

oooh, now that\'s the ticket. I saw that on your screenshot and made a mental note to look for it, and forgot. Transparency! yum. And it seems to take less memory than xterm, bonus. Cheers

Luckily I personally always use my 860 in clamshell formation, so lack of auto rotation isn\'t bothering me one iota

This is so far turning out to be pretty much the perfect rom for me - I nuked the Sharp rom within hours, then stuck with OZ until pdaX 1.0.5 came out - it was good, but the lack of working Ctrl bothered me, and it just felt a bit too restricting - Opie wanted to do everything for me. I love this. It\'s great

One thing I\'m noticing is a seeming lack of packages and dependency system. Is there any way any of us can help this grow? I found a fairly large package repo at handhelds.org, but I\'m not sure if they\'re really designed for the Zaurus, or indeed pdaXrom. If there\'s any way we can set up cross compilers and work out dependencies and make packages, I for one would be glad to help.
