Help the n00b - Whats the battery life I should expect?
« on: April 17, 2004, 12:17:30 pm »
Hi all, I just recently recieved a C700 as a gift. It came with a power supply and nothing else. I\'ve managed to switch the language to English, but it\'s a really old setup. The ROM says it\'s version 1.00 JP.

The battery seems to run only for a very short time - only a single day. Is this normal? Is this because the unit is so old / used? Is there a way to recondition the battery? Should I buy a new battery?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Matias, congratulations about your cool gift!  I\'m a newb too, but I\'m wondering if you\'ve made a quick search of the three topics you\'ve requested info on yet.  When the really experienced users give you their answers, you might find it\'s helpful if you\'ve already gotten some of the background info.  Best of luck.

Doh! Thanks, catachresis - that\'s a good idea. I searched the FAQ, but it\'s much more likely there are answers on the boards themselves!

Then use the search for the boards!

Look at the top of the page, right next ot FAQ is the search option.

A search for \"battery life\" returned 63 results while a search for \"battery\" or \"life\" returned 371 results.

I saw approximately 30 minutes with WIFI.... and perhaps 3 hours or so/more without. ... on the 700.
Due to this, I bought a second battery with my 700... of course, this was a month before the 760
was announced! argh.  The 760 gives over 2 hours with wifi, and many more hours without wifi.
