According to Phawx on the Dingoonity forum, an upgraded successor of the GPD Win is in the works. Note, this is actually a new GPD Win 2, not the newer revision of the previous one (a.k.a. GPD Win 1 v2):
http://boards.dingoonity.org/gpd-windows-d...2135/#msg162135Preliminary specs for it indicate that its CPU would be based on the Apollo Lake 4200 architecture (15% faster than the Atom x7-Z8700/8750) and a slightly larger screen (6" vs. 5.5"). Some users have suggested to include a Kaby Lake Core M3-7Y30 instead, which is twice as fast, but it also has higher power consumptions and it is much pricier (~200$ more expensive).
To me it looks as a welcome upgrade for any new GPD Win user, but not worth upgrading to for existing ones.
