Ok so the first batch of gemini devices will be in the wild soon congrats to those who will get one myself i am about 2300 in the que. For those of you that get your device soon if we can ask you to post just a few pics here and let us know what your first initial thoughts are about the gemini much appreciated thank you.

It is still not clear if his unit has Linux preinstalled or not, anyway here's a just published comment from Planet's Davide Guidi: "Dear Tatematsu-san, we will be publishing a Linux update today with further details. Also we will publish keyboard update, including Japanese Kana mapping, today."

I suspect shipping from HK to Japan might be faster than having the additional step of shipping back to the UK with customs delays and sending on to a distribution centre etc. Fingers crossed we'll be seeing them soon. I can't remeber being this excited about a product launch for a very long time!!

I have Oder ID 398 and tonight my status has changed to Order Locked - I'm in Scotland so fingers crossed we'll see Gemini in the rest of the EU soon!

Ah jolly joy.  I've received the Hermes shipping notification but also have a couple of other things on their way.  Hopefully it's not one of those outrageous coincidences that only serve to irritate.
