Night Light (blue light filter)
« on: May 12, 2018, 10:52:17 am »
The night light (blue light filter) feature on this machine is quite useful, but it is deeply buried in the Miravision option inside the Display setting, and there is no scheduling option (eg, sunset to sunrise) that is available on stock Nougat 7.1.1. I have checked that I have the System UI Tuner on.

Would like to hear from fellow users whether I am missing anything? Many thanks.

You might be able to use Tasker to set it automatically.

Many thanks for the suggestion.

After some trial and error, I managed to get Tasker with Autotools to make the "Night Light" option appear in the Android System Settings which enabled togging Night Light and even scheduling. However, the toggling has no effect on the colour or brightness of the display at all.

It looks like if I want automatic scheduling I will have to download an app. Kind of silly when the function was built into the OS originally.
