Yes, today my AT&T data reception suddenly improved from 3G to 4G, for unknown reasons (I made no attempt to modify software or Sim card).
Also, today Planet Computers put out a press release regarding the eSIM capability in the Gemini - see link below:

If any of you have been successful in obtaining an AT&T LTE signal using this method please post on how to do it. In the meantime I am asking Planet directly.
