Dennis Ho on Facebook posted that his supplied charger only supports the Mediatek Pump Express mode of fast charge

Not exactly true. He confirmed included charger only supports Pump Express mode of charge. Did not tested Gemini (input) itself. So this is misleading.

I measured it some time ago - there are going 1,5A by 5V over the USB cable. Which are 7.5W - which is ok I think.
