Sounds supremely promising!

Any experiences on using this work in practice?

I'd be interested too. I think this is one of the biggest problems with using Linux on the Gemini. Even things like scrolling a webpage can be uncomfortably jerky. GLXgears gives a frame rate of 1.3 fps in full screen mode. Not cool.

Try es2gears, if you want to test something using the accelerator available in the device (~130fps).
