Midi Files - Timidity

Installed timidity. It appears to play midi files, but no sound . Any ideas ? Thank you

Check that pulse audio is sending output to the right destination. I had this problem with rhythmbox.  I had to change the Droid sink primary to "speaker (plugged in)".

Thank you . I will try later, but VLC works perfectly ( video and audio files )  and in exagear + wine , I tested a notation software ( notation player ) and it plays midi like a charm.

solved : "timidity -Os" did the trick.
