Cosmo is turning itself on!
« on: July 10, 2020, 05:36:33 am »
I have decided not to carry my Cosmo as my daily driver anymore. Going back to my Razor Phone 2 until my FXTec Pro1 gets delivered.
I've turned off my Cosmo and packed it back in it's box. It sits on a shelf in my office. For some reason, the Cosmo will turn itself back on at some point. I can hear it chiming notifications in the morning. I take it back out of the box and turn it back off. I've done this 2 days in a row now.

Why is it turning itself on? It doesn't appear to be using much battery, but it's disturbing that it just turns itself on!
I'm on firmware v23

Any ideas?

Any kind of TIMED notifications will turn almost any phone on, as long as it has power. So if you have any kind of clock alarms or notifications for entries in the calendar, the phone WILL turn on for those notifications. (If there are other notifications when you open the device, find out which program is sending them, and try to disable them from that program...)

Thanks, it must have been my alarm I had set. I would have never imagined the phone could turn itself on for any reason.

Seriously? Even old Nokias (Symbian and earlier) could be turned off and they woke up to sound the alarm clock if set. I'm glad Cosmo has this feature, means I actually can turn off the phone for the night if I use the alarm. I was not sure it would work.
