4G Antenna Location
«
on:

Hi,
Can somebody please confirm exactly where the 4G antennas are located on the Cosmo?
I know they are at the ends of the device, but are they under the keyboard or behind the main screen glass (in the lid)?
Thanks,
Alastair

Sorry for a
really
slow reply. To the best of my knowledge, the entire "phone" is tucked into the lid of the Cosmo. The bottom half mainly contains the battery, keyboard, a button and a few connectors.
In the thread
Cosmo lower half teardown procedure,
there's a link to a PDF with photos of the internals of the Cosmo, from the FCC certification process. In Figure 27 on page 14, the two small coaxial connectors for the main antennas are visible. Figure 33 on page 17, has some labels and lines, pointing to various parts, including where the actual antennas are supposedly located. I hope this helps.
