donations to linux dev
« on: September 12, 2020, 02:58:41 pm »
I have the feeling that the so called `community` from planet computer is just one developer. is it ninji who does all the linux stuff?
Since Linux is really the one and only reason I bought this device, I would really like to support the dev or the devs to get a full working distro. Maybe some donations can do wonder in motivation. What do you guys think?

Very nice idea.

If you were to read some of my posts on the Gemini and Cosmo forums, you.d see that I agree with your thought about linux being a sole person effort overall.

Adam Boardman is the main developer of Gemian that we are using.

If you look through the Gemin and Cosmo linux forum sections you will come across his posts.

I agree. I would be happy to contribute toward a fund, we need to ensure that the fund is managed by someone.

There is a wiki page about funding: https://github.com/gemian/gemian/wiki/FundingOptions

So, there is a way to spend your money well :-)
But as noted in this page, [we all] "deed a democratic way of directing cash in the most needed direction".
